Latest News £3m Arriva Rail, Station SIF Project Progressing Well
We are pleased to report excellent progress on our £3m packaged contract to deliver civil and structured cabling services for Arriva Rail North (ARN) Station Improvement Fund (SIF) project involving SISS telecoms packages to a total of 73 stations across the North of England in partnership with Sella Controls.
The scheme combines new Ticket Vending Machines, Customer Information Screens, Public Address equipment, CCTV systems and new waiting shelters that come with integrated telecoms equipment.
Our scope of works for each station was split into two phases. The first phase being to complete the groundworks, installation of ducting systems and to form concrete bases to support the likes of ticket vending machines, waiting shelters and CIS columns. The second phase involved our electrical installation team attending site to install power and structured cabling systems, then install and connect all telecoms equipment.
Due to the expansive nature of the project, it has been a challenge to manage logistics in conjunction with all station sites remaining open to the public whilst work is being completed. A challenge which our management team and site based operatives have excelled in meeting to-date, with works still ongoing and due to be completed in September 2019.
