Picow Electrical were employed by Galliford Costain Atkins, on behalf of United Utilities, to undertake the electrical and instrumentation design and installation at Royton WwTW. This fully automated and unmanned facility required great attention to detail at both the design and installation stage of the project.

The project initially involved the Picow design team liasing with their GCA counterparts to produce a comprehensive design for both the electrical and instrumentation installation throughout the site.
Our site based team were then responsible for the complete electrical and instrumentation installation in accordance with the design provided. This encompassed works within the Blower Building, HSAF Plant and Kalic Dosing Plant.
Due to the nature of the site a profibus monitoring system was installed throughout. Our highly skilled engineers were responsible for all devices, cabling and terminations within this infrastructure. Lighting, Lightning Protection and all instrument loops were also successfully installed.
