Latest News Picow Obtain New ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Accreditation
Picow are delighted to announce through a stringent audit process by NQA, we have now obtained the new occupational health & safety standard ISO 45001.
The old certification standard OHSAS 18001 remains in place until 2021 at which point all holders are required to migrate to the new ISO 45001 standard. However, as a team we felt that our management systems were robust enough to achieve the new standard and through an audited gap analysis this was confirmed.
The ISO 45001 standard shares the new common structure defined by Annex SL which means that we have direct alignment with the latest ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards of which Picow also hold accreditations for.
With the new ISO 45001 accreditation we now have the proven business credentials that confirm Picow have a management system that improves risk management, demonstrates a full understanding of statutory and regulatory compliance and that we operate with a structured, corporate and social responsible culture.
Picow Operations Director Paul Allen who lead the audit process commented; “It was very important to the board of directors that we obtained ISO 45001 as soon as possible, not only to improve stakeholder relationships, but to also demonstrate to all connected with the business that we operate within a management system that is fully integrated and linear in operation across all three ISO accreditations that we hold”
